Housing is the goal. And, this September, London Cares is asking for your help. We want our community to add its voice in support of our work, the people doing it, and the partnerships needed to help people move from homelessness toward housing and stability.

You can help us to spread the word about what London Cares actually does. A Housing First approach means helping people experiencing homelessness move toward permanent housing and connecting them with the supports they need to build greater stability.

Our teams see every day what it takes to make that happen. They build relationships, respond to immediate needs and help people navigate complicated systems. They bring practical knowledge of the challenges people face and of the services and supports that can help them move forward. That frontline expertise matters. London Cares also has a specific role within a much broader community response.

And homelessness is not an issue that any one organization can solve alone. Governments, health and social services, community organizations, homelessness services and other partners all have different responsibilities and expertise. Progress depends on those parts of the system working together.

That is why Housing First. Hope Always is also a message of unity. Public conversations about homelessness can be difficult. There are different perspectives, significant pressures across the community and no simple answers. But we share an important goal: helping people move from homelessness toward safe, stable housing.

We believe informed, constructive discussion can help. We are asking people who support this work to speak up, share reliable information and help strengthen understanding of what Housing First means and what organizations like London Cares do.

Every share, conversation and act of support can help strengthen the work happening across our community.
